All games will end up digital after 20 years, Nintendo ex-president\'s 2009 prediction proves true

He said it would take about 20 years for digital distribution to fully replace physical sales. Recent changes by Sony and Nintendo are seen as making that forecast a reality, including Sony’s plan to halt new PlayStation game disc production from January 2028.
