Google unveils SL2T AI model that understands sign language, first applied to Pixel 11
Google has unveiled SL2T, an AI model that converts sign language into text, and applied it first to Pixel 11. The initial version translates American Sign Language into English text through a smartphone camera. Users can search the web, draft emails and messages, edit documents and respond in Live Transcribe without typing. Google said SL2T was trained on more than 100,000 hours of data across over 50 sign languages.
