ITCEN PNS, Palo Alto Networks, Enki WhiteHat team up to counter AI-driven security threats

ITCEN PNS said on Tuesday it will work with Palo Alto Networks and Enki WhiteHat to jointly respond to cyber threats in the frontier AI era. The companies plan to combine ITCEN PNS commercialisation and networks, Palo Alto Networks\' AI-based integrated cybersecurity platform, and Enki WhiteHat\'s hacker knowledge database and AI-driven automated penetration testing. They aim to develop new business models linking frontier AI threat response solutions with offensive security services, starting with South Korean financial clients.

LeCun says AI running out of control is science fiction, world models could be alternative

Yann LeCun, chairman of Ami Labs, pushed back against fears that AI will escape human control, calling such scenarios closer to science fiction. Speaking in Seoul, he said current safety approaches for large language models have limits and that it is unrealistic to train systems for every question. He proposed objective-driven AI using world models to predict outcomes and follow preset goals and safety constraints, while acknowledging risks remain if predictions are wrong.
