Gen Z and baby boomers accelerate exit from social media as dumbphone demand and digital detox spread
More people, led by Gen Z and baby boomers, are leaving social media for digital wellbeing, Axios reported. Citing a study released last month, it said the number of social media platforms used by U.S. adults is declining, with 12 percent of those 65 and older and 7 percent of those aged 18 to 29 not using social media at all. Demand is also rising for “dumbphones” with only essential apps.

Toss Income launches preview of this year\'s tax refund ahead of annual income tax filing
Toss Income, a tax filing and refund support unit of Viva Republica, launched a service that lets users check an estimated refund ahead of the May comprehensive income tax filing season. Available to office workers and multi-job workers with earned income last year, the service runs in the Toss app through April 30. After HomeTax authentication, it calculates expected refunds based on actual income and filing history. Users can also check missed refunds from 2020 to 2024.

MSIT says 2024 South Korea cloud market revenue tops 9 trillion won
South Korea\'s cloud market revenue in 2024 rose 25.2 percent from a year earlier to 9.26 trillion won, a survey by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency showed. IaaS, PaaS and SaaS revenue all increased by more than 20 percent, while cloud management services grew 31.4 percent. The number of cloud firms rose 13.5 percent to 2,712 and cloud workers increased 8.4 percent to 33,217.
