Lee Jae-myung approves four broadcast media telecommunications commission members, completing six-member lineup
South Korean President Lee Jae-myung (이재명) has approved the appointment and commissioning of four members of the Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission, presidential office spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said on Monday. The appointments include two recommended by the ruling party and two by the opposition. Their terms run from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2029. The approvals complete a six-member lineup, leaving one standing-member seat recommended by the People Power Party vacant.

Nexon says no layoffs, 2027 target adjustment is a timeline issue
Nexon on Monday rejected the possibility of workforce cuts during a capital markets briefing in Tokyo and detailed its stance on 2027 targets and cost structure improvements. Chairman Patrick Soderlund said there are no plans for layoffs. CFO Shiro Uemura said the company aims to redeploy staff through pipeline adjustments rather than restructuring. CEO Jung-heon Lee said it wants to maintain project-based incentive pay while applying sharper standards to overall labor costs.
