Kakao said on Tuesday it will start a "Let's Talk" campaign with idol group Rescene to introduce KakaoTalk's AI services.

Kakao will sequentially release videos in September showing people using KakaoTalk AI functions in everyday life. The videos will introduce features such as the AI service "Kanana" summarising call content and "Kanana in KakaoTalk" organising appointment schedules in chat rooms.

The videos will be available on KakaoTalk's official social media channels, including YouTube and Instagram, and on in-app banners in KakaoTalk. Rescene will appear in the opening video and some follow-up videos.

Kakao said it chose Rescene as the campaign model after judging that the group's friendly image and its activities communicating with fans match the campaign's aim of expanding connections between users through conversations.

The campaign is part of Kakao's "User First" activities, which reflect user feedback in its services. Kakao opened a "Kakao Now" page in August to share the process of changes to KakaoTalk. It plans to apply functions reflecting user feedback sequentially in the second half of this year and provide related information on the page.

A Kakao official said, "Through this campaign, we will promote a new conversation experience created by Kakao's AI and continue to introduce services that reflect users' voices."
