KT has moved to strengthen execution capabilities in its AI transformation (AX) business together with specialist partners including Microsoft.
KT said on Sept. 1 it held the 'KT-MS Tech Summit' at its Gwanghwamun West building in Jongno district, Seoul, with key AX partners taking part.
The event was designed to share experience accumulated through customer AX projects and KT’s internal innovation process, based on the KT-Microsoft cooperation ecosystem, and to strengthen business application.
The event included hands-on programs to implement the latest AI technologies, a tech forum to share customer projects, KT internal innovation cases and the latest technologies, and partner booths to discuss technical and business issues with specialist partners.
The tech forum introduced KT’s major customer AX cases, including a beauty retail customer’s data and AI business and the building of a generative AI platform for a large domestic manufacturer. It also shared the latest technologies and industry application cases in areas including Microsoft’s AI agent and FinOps, generative AI and security.
KT’s IT division presented a data-driven decision-making system based on a 'FinOps data platform' that measures and optimises cloud usage efficiency. It also presented a case in which it identified tasks with Microsoft experts and linked them to improvements in AI-based systems and work productivity gains.
In the hands-on programs, participants practiced building agentic AI and work automation. KT said the sessions helped employees understand how the latest technologies work and how they are applied so they can use them for customer proposals and project execution.
At partner booths joined by 12 specialist partners in AI, data, cloud and security, KT staff held one-on-one technical and business consultations and discussed suitable solutions and cooperation opportunities.
Sang-won Park (박상원), head of KT’s AX business division, said, "AX competitiveness comes from execution that can turn the latest technologies into actual business results." He said KT will "continue to lead customers’ AX innovation by working with various AX partners, including Microsoft."
