[Digital Today reporter Ji-young Lee (이지영)] Woori Bank has introduced budget mobile phone plans that offer discounts on monthly phone bills for up to 1 year, depending on financial transaction performance such as payroll transfers or receipt of four major pensions.

Woori Bank said on Monday it launched two WooriWON Celeb plans through its budget mobile service, WooriWON Mobile.

WooriWON Celeb provides discounts on mobile charges for up to 12 months if, after signing up, customers meet financial transaction performance requirements such as payroll transfers or receipt of four major pensions including the National Pension.

The plans consist of two options: WooriWON Celeb 15GB+ and WooriWON Celeb 71GB+.

The 15GB+ plan has a basic monthly fee of 20,000 won. If customers meet the financial transaction performance requirements, they can receive up to 20,000 won back each month, allowing use with no effective communication cost burden.

The 71GB+ plan costs 30,000 won a month. With benefits of up to 25,000 won applied each month, it can be used for 5,000 won a month for 12 months.

Woori Bank is also running a launch promotion. It will pay 30,000 won in its Woori Financial Group integrated points, Kkul Money, to customers who sign up for the plans, and it will provide an additional 30,000 won to the first 1,000 customers who activate service in September. Customers can receive up to 60,000 won if they meet the conditions.

During the plan period, it will also provide monthly membership coupons worth 5,000 won and separate data coupons of up to 20GB.

Park Hee-geun (박희근), head of Woori Bank's WON Mobile Business Division, said, "We designed the plans around benefits customers can feel, so they can reduce their phone bills through banking transactions."
