Jiranjigyo Security said on Aug. 31 it signed a memorandum of understanding with cyber security startup Pilsang on cooperation in mobile security technology and business.

The companies will pursue linking Jiranjigyo Security’s enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution MobileKeeper with Pilsang’s AI-based mobile threat detection technology. They agreed to cooperate on linking real-time mobile threat detection technologies, connecting detected threat information with EMM security policies, and cooperation in AI-based threat analysis and reporting.

They plan to gradually link mobile antivirus technology from Jiranjigyo Security subsidiary SubSoft. They aim to build an integrated mobile security system that connects device management, threat detection and policy-based response.

Won-hee Cho (조원희), CEO of Jiranjigyo Security, said corporate mobile security needs are expanding beyond device management and policy application into areas of detecting and responding to actual threats. He said the company will gradually expand its mobile security scope based on MobileKeeper’s strengths through the partnership and respond to changing security needs of enterprise customers, including the public and financial sectors.

Pil-sang Kang (강필상), CEO of Pilsang, said the importance is growing of technology that can effectively detect and respond to cyber threats such as phishing and smishing targeting mobile environments as such threats persist. He said the company will create synergy by combining Pilsang’s real-time mobile threat detection technology, verified in large-scale real-world use environments, with Jiranjigyo Security’s EMM capabilities, and will build new business opportunities in global markets based on that.
