Cloud computing and AI infrastructure company Innogrid said on Wednesday it has officially launched Migrationit, a dedicated migration solution that automatically switches virtual machines (VMs) operating in global virtualization platform environments to its OpenStack-based virtualization solution, Openstackit.
The company said manual, largely hands-on migrations carry risks of data loss and the burden of lengthy service interruptions. It said Migrationit uses an automated conversion process to stably transfer existing virtualization environments to OpenStack-based infrastructure. This can minimize human error and sharply cut downtime to secure business continuity.
Migrationit is linked to Innogrid's IaaS solution Openstackit, it said. It supports a more systematic and predictable transition from foreign virtualization environments to a domestic OpenStack-based cloud.
Innogrid plans to use the new product launch to strengthen its position in the hybrid cloud and virtualization transition market. It also plans to accelerate efforts to target the win-back market by presenting validated automated transition technology to customers using existing foreign virtualization solutions.
Innogrid CEO Myung-jin Kim (김명진) said, "Migrationit is not a simple conversion tool but a strategic solution that helps customers transition to a more reasonable and sustainable cloud environment." He added, "As an AI cloud infrastructure specialist, we will drive both technological self-reliance and ecosystem expansion at the same time and raise domestic cloud technology competitiveness by a step."
