Devsisters said on Thursday it posted second-quarter revenue of 52.7 billion won on a consolidated basis, with an operating loss of 16.0 billion won and a net loss of 15.0 billion won.
Sales fell in the quarter as its live games entered a restructuring phase. Losses narrowed slightly from the previous quarter as management reforms progressed. Operating expenses reflected one-off costs, including a temporary rise in labor costs from organizational changes and spending on previously agreed marketing. The company said it expects its financial environment to improve from the third quarter as it manages fixed costs and tightens spending controls.

Revenue from intellectual property businesses such as trading card games and character goods exceeded 10.0 billion won on a half-year basis, accounting for more than 10 percent of total revenue. In the second half, it plans to gradually expand the scale of its IP business by broadening licensing, centered on the North American market.
It also plans to release a Roblox game, 'CookieRun Card Collection', based on the trading card game 'CookieRun: Braverse', during the third quarter. It will attend a Roblox developers conference in the United States in September to pursue an expansion of its platform and IP ecosystem.
'CookieRun: Kingdom' has shown improvement in user indicators such as active users, retention rate and payment rate since its latest update. It plans to proceed step by step in the second half to improve play experience, enhance stability and expand new content.
Devsisters said it will maintain a companywide drive for cost efficiency and aims to improve second-half results by securing performance from new titles, overhauling key games and expanding its IP business.
