Tilt sensing is also included in both, allowing shading or visual effects. Apple says these shared features provide pixel-level precision and low latency.

Differences emerge in the added functions of the higher-end Apple Pencil Pro. The outlet pointed out that the Pro model offers several feature upgrades. It also noted that choosing a generation can have a “significant impact” on the user experience even with the same stylus. That means the way an iPad is used can change, beyond it being a simple input tool.

The price gap is also clear. Apple Pencil Pro costs $129, while Apple Pencil USB-C costs $79, a difference of $50. Whether the added features justify that gap depends on intended use. Users focused on basic tasks such as taking notes in class can meet most needs with the standard model. Artists and creators who need greater control are seen as getting more value from the Pro model.
