Musinsa's shoe select shop brand Musinsa Kicks has expanded into mixed-use shopping malls. Musinsa opened the Musinsa Kicks Starfield Goyang store on Friday. It is the third offline store after Hongdae and Seongsu and the brand's first move into a mixed-use shopping mall. Musinsa said the opening is part of a plan to diversify beyond Seoul’s key commercial districts toward lifestyle consumers and areas frequented by family customers.

The northern Gyeonggi region, including Goyang, has not had a large-scale sports lifestyle select shop. The new store places Nike and Puma at the front in the main space and also features global sports brands such as New Balance and Asics. Leather casual brands including Timberland, Dr. Martens, Gihuo and Yase also joined the store, widening its shoe category offerings.

In its outdoor-focused zone, called Next Outdoor, it brought in the Nike ACG line exclusively for the first time among Musinsa Kicks offline stores. It also set up separate sections for Bag & Cap Club, which curates bags and caps, and for Crocs Jibbitz. Limited products, including Nike's Moon Shoe OG, Asics' Novablast 6, ept's Alicante and a TAWNTO x Hello Kitty collaboration set, will also be restocked from the opening day.

A Musinsa official said: "The Starfield Goyang store is Kicks' first store to move into a mixed-use mall, and a store where customers can find diverse labels in one place, going beyond sneakers to outdoor, bags and caps." The official added: "Based on our shoe curation capabilities proven in Hongdae and Seongsu, we will provide a differentiated shopping experience for both family customers visiting Goyang and sneaker enthusiasts."
