[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Cloudflare has launched an open-source AI agent workspace for enterprise employees called Cloudflare OS. SiliconANGLE reported on Aug. 5 that the platform can be used in a browser and is designed to let employees create and share customised microapps based on internal company knowledge.

Cloudflare said it introduced Cloudflare OS to address a problem in which existing enterprise AI tools lack an understanding of the adopting company’s structure and work methods.

Employees can build workflows tailored to their needs from the first day of deployment by connecting internal knowledge and systems, and can configure microapps for them. The apps created this way can be shared within the organisation.

Employees can conduct research, create documents connected to real-time data and run automated workflows without waiting for support from IT departments or development teams. Each app can be built with a separate database, real-time features and access controls.

Cloudflare OS, based on Cloudflare Access, verifies every user and every request before granting access rights.

Companies can use their preferred AI model provider through Cloudflare AI Gateway. Administrators can check token usage and costs by person, team and app, and can set budgets or rate limits. Depending on task complexity, simple work can be sent to smaller models, while tasks requiring higher reasoning can be allocated to high-performance models.

Co-founder and CEO Matthew Prince (매슈 프린스) said, "Cloudflare OS is how we run Cloudflare. For AI to change companies, it must not be trapped in silos or sit behind developer bottlenecks. Every employee must be able to build, improve and automate safely."
