F5, an application and API delivery and security company, said on Thursday it unveiled F5 AI Guardrails, an AI-native solution that integrates with Nvidia NeMo Guardrails to deliver its enterprise-grade AI security capabilities to production-stage AI applications.

The company said F5 AI Guardrails, integrated with Nvidia NeMo Guardrails, separates security policy enforcement from AI frameworks to provide centralised security and governance across AI applications. Organisations can adopt Nvidia NeMo Guardrails as a standard while having F5 AI Guardrails handle security checks for prompts and large language model (LLM) responses. This allows enterprise policies to be applied centrally without changing AI applications.

As a result, a layered architecture can be implemented in which framework libraries, microservices, orchestration and security each perform their roles and evolve independently.

Kunal Anand (쿠날 아난드), F5's chief product officer, said, “What enterprises lack is not AI applications, but consistent security and governance across applications.” He said, “When AI moves into production, fragmented control systems increase risk and complexity and delay adoption. With this integration, security teams gain a unified point to inspect AI traffic, enforce policies and manage AI application governance across diverse environments, while developers can continue to develop freely.”
