Bending Spoons has agreed to acquire spreadsheet and database startup Airtable for $1.28 billion in cash, TechCrunch reported on Aug. 4.
The deal is the first acquisition Bending Spoons has made since it went public last month.
Founded in 2013, Airtable has raised more than $1.4 billion through multiple funding rounds. Its valuation topped $11 billion during the 2021 boom, but it was reported to have been valued at about $4 billion in the private stock market earlier this year.
Bending Spoons put Airtable's current value at about $2.25 billion, reflecting Airtable's net cash and cash equivalents. Luca Ferrari (루카 페라이), Bending Spoons' founder, said Airtable's annual recurring revenue as of June 2026 rose more than 20 percent from a year earlier to about $480 million.
Airtable unveiled its Superagent product line in January. The Superagent platform supports users in forming teams of multiple AI agents to carry out tasks.
Bending Spoons went public in July at a valuation of $18 billion, and has acquired Evernote, WeTransfer, Eventbrite and Vimeo.
