Hancom will run a joint campaign with the Seoul Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to mark the 2026 UNESCO commemorative year for the 150th anniversary of Kim Gu’s birth.
The campaign comprises hands-on content that anyone can easily join, including online transcription on the Hancom Taja platform by directly typing “My Wish,” one of Kim’s best-known writings, as well as a flip-the-board game.
Hancom Taja members can take part through the official website. Hancom will provide prizes, including a “Bobo” stress ball featuring a character from the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and mobile gift certificates, to a total of 450 people through a draw.
A Hancom official said, “To mark the 150th anniversary of Kim Gu’s birth, we prepared this campaign so people can reflect on the power of culture and the spirit of independence that he emphasised through our language and writing.” The official added, “We will continue to contribute to spreading Korean-language culture suited to the digital era through various social contribution activities that promote the value of Hangeul.”
