Binance has signed a partnership with global non-profit STOP THE TRAFFIK, which works to prevent human trafficking and modern slavery.

Binance said on July 24 it is working with STOP THE TRAFFIK. The partnership was set up to detect early illicit fund flows linked to human trafficking and exploitation crimes, and to strengthen user protection and compliance capabilities.

Binance will receive specialist information, expert insights and tailored training programmes from STOP THE TRAFFIK. The cooperation also includes raising staff awareness, detecting new types of crime, strengthening global compliance and investigative capabilities, and expanding public-private cooperation.

STOP THE TRAFFIK is a non-profit that works with financial institutions, technology companies, non-governmental organisations and judicial authorities to share information on human trafficking and modern slavery and build joint response systems.

Noah Perlman (노아 펄먼), Binance's chief compliance officer, said financial crime prevention systems must evolve to address real harm linked to illicit funds, such as human trafficking and related exploitation. He said the cooperation would help protect vulnerable groups.
