[DigitalToday reporter Jin-ho Lee (이진호)] Samsung Electronics has unveiled two new models in its AI-enabled smart glasses lineup, Intelligent Eyewear, and is speeding up its push into the smart wearable market.

Samsung Electronics on Tuesday showcased Intelligent Eyewear designs developed in collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker at Galaxy Unpacked held in London. Including the product unveiled at Google I/O 2026 in May, a total of four designs have been revealed so far.

Intelligent Eyewear extends Samsung Electronics' mobile hardware technology into a smart glasses form factor. It runs on an Android extended reality (XR) platform and uses voice, gestures and visual information to provide hands-free functions such as checking messages, translation, navigation and recording information.

Its built-in camera captures what the user is looking at and links visual-field information with AI functions. It recognises speech or foreign-language menus and provides real-time translation information via Google Gemini. It also supports capturing whiteboards, documents and meeting scenes and automatically organising them in the notes app on Galaxy smartphones. Users can also use navigation and continuous conversation functions by linking the surrounding environment with the user's previous information.

Samsung Electronics said it optimised the frame structure and internal component layout to improve wearing comfort. It includes a camera, sensors, microphones and speakers, as well as Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 1st generation. The battery can be used for up to 9 hours on a single charge. Using the charging case allows up to seven additional charges.

The Gentle Monster collaboration model combines a slim black-toned frame with a straight upper section and a rounded lower section. The Warby Parker collaboration model applies a brown frame and a slightly raised browline. The model is scheduled to be released within the year.
