Cybersecurity startup Glow has raised $180 million in a Series A round after being valued at $1.2 billion.

TechCrunch reported on Tuesday that Glow, founded in 2025, is developing an endpoint security platform that monitors and controls software running on employee devices, as well as AI agents and developer tools. It is focusing on changing how companies approach endpoint security as AI spreads.

The round was backed by Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, Green Oaks and Redpoint Ventures. Index Ventures, Swish Ventures, Lux Capital, Operator Collective and Hali Ventures also participated.

The company said the Glow platform uses specialised AI agents to continuously understand corporate environments, assess risks in real time and apply security policies.

As companies expand the adoption of AI tools, attackers are also using generative AI to automate phishing, develop malware and advance their tactics.

Glow co-founder and CEO Roy Tiger (로이 타이거) said that while existing endpoint detection and response products focus on detection after threats occur, Glow focuses on blocking risky software, AI agents and developer tools before they enter corporate environments.

Glow said it had secured paying customers in healthcare, retail and financial services before its service was made public. It did not disclose customer names or the number of customers.

Glow uses Anthropic and Google Gemini models through Amazon Bedrock. It is also focusing on boosting the reliability of security operations by providing models with internal corporate context through its own software. The Glow platform prevented the installation of malicious npm packages in customer environments, identified AI agents attempting to pull them in, and found employee devices without endpoint detection and response tools or with reduced functionality, TechCrunch reported.
