[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] ITien said on Tuesday it has launched an online migration tool service called 'Ingress To NGF' to help existing users switch architectures in response to the end of official support for the open-source 'Ingress NGINX'.

Ingress NGINX is a network controller that connects and routes external HTTP and HTTPS traffic to applications inside a cluster in a Kubernetes environment.

The company said the open-source Ingress NGINX project maintained by the Kubernetes community officially ended in March 2026. It said patches for newly discovered security vulnerabilities, feature improvements and bug fixes have been fully halted.

The company said ITien's 'Ingress To NGF' service supports existing Ingress NGINX users in moving to a Gateway API-based environment and is available for free through ITien's official website. It converts existing YAML configuration files entered by users into F5 NGINX Gateway Fabric configuration files in real time automatically.

Kim Young-hoon (김영훈), chief executive of ITien, said, "The end of support for open-source Ingress NGINX has become a turning point at which companies must review infrastructure security and operating systems around commercial solutions." He said, "Ingress To NGF will be a practical guide that helps companies more easily transition existing settings to a next-generation Gateway API-based architecture."
