Ceragem is moving to build an integrated healthcare ecosystem linking hospitals and homes. Ceragem said on Wednesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung Medical Center to develop future health management services.

The agreement was designed to combine the two organisations' medical expertise and digital healthcare capabilities to improve the quality of medical services and jointly build a healthcare model connecting hospitals and homes. They will pursue cooperation in areas including jointly developing personalised health management services, building a preventive care system based on digital healthcare and advancing senior healthcare services.

The two sides will combine Ceragem's healthcare technology with Samsung Medical Center's clinical expertise to advance prevention-focused health management services. They will also expand cooperation on developing senior-focused services to respond to an ageing society and an AI wellness home model. They plan to continue joint research, including clinical studies, participation in government research and development projects and upgrades to smart wards.

The agreement expands to the corporate headquarters level cooperation results that CeragemClinical, Ceragem's clinical specialist research institution, and Samsung Medical Center have pursued. CeragemClinical has participated since last year in implementing Samsung Medical Center's smart patient rooms. It applied the medical device-certified CERAGEM CLINICAL ONE Medical Bed in a smart patient room that opened in April this year.

A Ceragem official said, "Through cooperation with Samsung Medical Center, we have come to jointly create a new healthcare model that extends hospital-centred medical services to health management in daily life." The official added, "We will continue to expand cooperation so we can build an integrated healthcare ecosystem linking hospitals and homes by advancing next-generation AI-based healthcare technologies, and contribute to people's healthy lives."
