KB Financial Group will expand the application of AI agents to key tasks such as data analysis and software development and move to foster AI talent based on workplace assignments.

KB Financial said on July 15 it launched KB AI Lab, a hands-on AI talent development programme, after holding its first-half 2026 Group AI and Data Innovation Seminar on July 14 at KB Kookmin Bank's new building in Seoul's Yeouido district.

The seminar was set up to share cases of applying AI agents and data to work based on the group's AI strategy, KB With AI.

The seminar introduced KB DAVIS, a personalised AI data analysis agent, and the AI Dev Center, an AI-based integrated development environment.

KB DAVIS is a service in which, when users ask questions in everyday language, AI finds and analyses the needed data and generates visualised report materials. It focused on supporting employees' data-driven decision-making by reducing complex analysis procedures.

The AI Dev Center is an integrated development environment in which multiple AI agents take part in development processes such as design, coding and testing. In this approach, when developers present requirements, AI agents carry out development work and developers focus on verifying results and quality control.

KB Financial also launched KB AI Lab, a project-based AI talent development programme, on the day.

Participants receive 2 weeks of advanced training and then carry out hands-on projects for about 10 weeks. They directly identify assignments to be solved in the workplace and build AI services at a level that can be applied to actual work.

Those who complete the project return to their existing departments to further develop the results and take on a role in spreading AI use cases across the organisation. KB Financial plans to gradually expand KB AI Lab to all group affiliates based on results from the pilot operation.

KB Financial Chairman Yang Jong-hee (양종희) said, "In the AI era, all experiences become data, and those who make good use of that data are competitiveness." He added, "We will support education and talent development so that we can create new value with AI."
