KT said on July 13 it will offer up to a 50 percent discount on subscription fees for customers who pay for Google Play Store subscription products in July through its mobile payment promotion service, KT Content Pay.

The event applies when users register 'KT Payment' as a Google Play Store payment method and select it when paying for a subscription. Customers who apply for the '50 percent off all subscriptions' event on the KT Content Pay website can receive a bill discount of 50 percent of the payment amount, up to 5,000 won.

Eligible products include 6 generative AI services such as ChatGPT, Google AI Pro, Grok, Genspark and Claude Perplexity, as well as YouTube Premium, Google One and KakaoTalk's Tokseorap Plus.

KT will provide an additional 5,000 won discount for customers who pay for the 6 AI services, on top of the basic 50 percent discount. It will also offer an additional discount of up to 3,000 won for customers who have not used KT mobile payments in the past 3 months.

Kang Yi-hwan (강이환), executive director and head of KT's Customer Service Division, said, "We will introduce various benefits so customers can conveniently use digital subscription services in their daily lives without burden."
