NHN KCP is taking part in discussions on open standards for the global agentic artificial intelligence ecosystem.
NHN KCP said on Sunday it has joined the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF), a global cooperation body in the agentic AI field, as a member company.
AAIF is an organisation that supports building open standards and interoperable infrastructure so agentic AI can be used in real services. About 200 global companies and institutions, including Microsoft, Google, Amazon Web Services and Stripe, are currently taking part.
NHN KCP plans to take part in AAIF discussions on standardisation related to AI agent-based payment infrastructure.
It plans to use its online and offline payment infrastructure and overseas payment networks to propose an interoperability standard model so AI agents can link payments across various commerce environments. It also plans to take part in related technology development.
Park Joon-seok (박준석), chief executive of NHN KCP, said, "In next-generation commerce environments where AI agents emerge as the main players in consumption and payment, there is a need for a safe, universal payment protocol that can be applied across borders and platforms, including stablecoins."
