SK Telecom said on Sunday it will run a T Roaming promotion for overseas travellers and T Membership benefits for customers taking domestic trips and outings during the summer holiday season.

Through Aug. 21, SKT will offer a "first roaming 70 percent discount" for 2030 customers and increase the data allowance provided under certain roaming plans.

Customers born between 1986 and 2006 who have not used T Roaming in the past 36 months can use the "Baro" plan and "Baro YT" plan once at a price discounted 70 percent from the regular rate.

Customers can add 3,000 won and sign up for "Family Roaming" to share data with up to 5 people. The offer cannot be combined with the 50 percent roaming discount provided to subscribers aged 34 and under on the "Best·Light" plan and the "0 Youth" plan.

SKT will provide up to 16GB of additional data at the same price to customers using 4 Baro plans including "Baro 6GB" and 4 Baro YT plans including "Baro YT 7GB". Even after using all of their base allowance, customers can continue to use data at speeds of up to 1 Mbps.

SKT will also run a T Membership event for domestic travellers. Through "T Day Week 2" running through July 17, T Membership customers can receive benefits including 50 percent off Caribbean Bay all-day adult passes, free jacket rentals and 50 percent off Ocean World admission. "Hackers", "Flashback Gyelim" and "Obut" were newly added as year-round T Membership partners.

Yoon Jae-woong (윤재웅), head of SK Telecom's Product & Brand Division, said, "For the summer holiday season, we prepared tailored benefits for customers preparing for overseas travel as well as those enjoying domestic trips and outings." He added, "We will continue to expand benefits tailored to customers' diverse lifestyles."
