Customers enrolled in post office indemnity insurance will be able to use the 'Silson24' service in the Post Office Insurance mobile application.

The Ministry of Science and ICT's Korea Post said on Sunday it will provide the service by linking Silson24, a simplified indemnity insurance claim service, with the Post Office Insurance mobile app.

Silson24 is a service that allows indemnity insurance subscribers to claim payouts by having documents related to medical expenses automatically sent to insurers, without having those documents issued by hospitals or pharmacies.

Previously, users had to install the Silson24 mobile app separately to use the simplified indemnity insurance claim service. With the linkup, post office indemnity insurance subscribers can check treatment records from hospitals and pharmacies participating in Silson24 in the Post Office Insurance mobile app and file claims without photographing or attaching documents.

Park In-hwan (박인환), head of Korea Post, said the linkup of the Post Office Insurance mobile app with Silson24 allows customers to claim indemnity insurance payouts conveniently anytime, anywhere. He said it will continue to expand digital service innovation that customers can directly feel.
