Hancom LifeCare, an affiliate of Hancom Group and a defense and safety equipment company, said on Thursday it has signed an agreement on cooperation with the Korea Anti-Drone Industry Association in the drone and anti-drone fields.

Under the agreement, the two sides will continue joint research and development cooperation in drone and anti-drone convergence technologies. They will also jointly analyze the latest technology trends and changes in demand in domestic and overseas markets and respond strategically.

The two sides plan to focus their capabilities on developing convergence technologies usable in civilian and military fields and identifying commercialization opportunities. They aim to continue developing cooperation models that can respond to future demand in the defense industry.

Kim Sun-young (김선영), CEO of Hancom LifeCare, said the agreement is a meaningful starting point for technological innovation in drones and anti-drones and for revitalising the industrial ecosystem. She said cooperation with the Korea Anti-Drone Industry Association would help secure new growth drivers in the future unmanned systems and anti-drone market and contribute to strengthening national safety and security capabilities.
