Hana Financial Group has joined Gyeonggi Province to support re-employment for middle-aged residents in the region. It aims to help match jobs for people in their 50s to 70s through corporate interviews, AI career coaching and retirement-planning consultations.

Hana Financial said on Tuesday it held the "Gyeonggi-do 5070 Job Fair with Hana JOB Matching Festa" at Suwon Messe.

The event was held in conjunction with the "Gyeonggi-do 5070 Job Fair" hosted by the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation. About 100 companies, including small and medium-sized firms in the Gyeonggi region, took part, and 70 of them conducted on-site job interviews.

An on-site re-employment support programme for middle-aged participants was also run. Participants received help preparing for job searches through an "AI resume" and "AI mock interview" and could also get consultations on retirement planning, asset management, inheritance and gifts.

Hana Financial also expanded participation by social enterprises involved in employing vulnerable groups and addressing social problems. It plans to strengthen job matching that reflects social value beyond basic hiring support.

A Hana Financial official said, "We expanded social enterprise participation to contribute to creating social value as well as practical employment matching." The official added, "We will continue providing various support so that middle-aged people can plan a second life."
