Wemade has confirmed the title of a new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) it is developing using its flagship intellectual property and unveiled a service direction based on a single global build.
On Tuesday, Wemade said the official name of the new game being developed by Mad Engine has been decided as 'Night CrowsW'. The 'W' appended to the title stands for World. It reflects a vision of presenting a setting in which users worldwide play together in a single server environment.
Night CrowsW will actively introduce AI technology across game content, including an AI-based companion system. It plans to provide a differentiated user experience in a range of situations such as combat and hunting. Wemade will support the same game environment for users worldwide through a simultaneous global launch and a one-build service.
The original 'Night Crows' is a hit title that, as of April, surpassed about 750 billion won in cumulative global revenue and recorded 14 million cumulative users. Wemade is preparing the new game's global launch by focusing its publishing capabilities.
Kim Ki-sung (김기성), a division head at Wemade, said, "Night CrowsW is a Night Crows IP expansion project being developed with the goal of an MMORPG that users around the world enjoy together in a single world." He added, "We will actively introduce AI technology across game content to broaden the user experience, and prepare so we can continue the success of the original title through a high-quality global one-build service."
Wemade plans to disclose detailed information on Night CrowsW and a specific release schedule in stages.
