To ease the burden of fuel costs in an era of high oil prices, Baedal Minjok is moving to support its riders. Woowa Youths, which handles Baedal Minjok's logistics services, said on Sunday it will expand fuel support benefits for Baemin Connect riders through a partnership with Kakao Pay.

The fuel support is part of “Bae-Nefit (Baemin Connect Bae-Nefit),” which has been operated for six consecutive years since 2021. Woowa Youths has run various partnerships including fuel discounts with HD Hyundai Oilbank and Shinhan Card, and said the Kakao Pay tie-up further expands riders’ options.

The Kakao Pay benefits run from June 22 to July 11. Baemin Connect riders can receive 1,000 Kakao Pay points up to 3 times when they pay 10,000 won or more at gas stations using Samsung Pay’s easy payment within Kakao Pay on their smartphones. Support equivalent to about 200 won per liter for gasoline is provided to 10,000 riders.

A Woowa Youths official said, “We prepared this benefit to reflect voices from the field that fuel support riders can tangibly feel at delivery sites is needed.” The official added, “We will continue to expand practical support programs for riders.”
