Adobe has strengthened its Firefly AI assistant and added it to Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign and Frame.io, TechCrunch reported on June 18.

The update adds features in Firefly to create brand kits, product videos and storyboards.

Users can enter a brand description or upload existing materials, and Firefly automatically generates a brand kit containing a logo, brand identity and colour palette. It also adds tools to make product videos from photos and to produce storyboards.

The update also adds features by app. In Premiere, the AI assistant can organise assets into folders, rename clips in bulk, find interview questions and add markers. In Illustrator, it can handle tasks such as reorganising layers across a document or checking for missing fonts.

The Firefly app also supports an Elements feature that saves outputs as reusable components for other projects. Users can store and reuse AI-generated characters, objects and backgrounds. A Projects feature has also been added for teams producing video series or brand campaigns to gather existing assets in one place and share context. Both features are currently available in private beta.

Firefly is currently available in Express, Photoshop and Acrobat, and supports ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot. Adobe plans to add support for Google Gemini and Salesforce Slack.
