Genians, a cybersecurity company, said on Tuesday it won final certification in the “2026 EDR Detection Verification Test” conducted by AV-Comparatives, a global security product performance evaluation organisation.

The company said AV-Comparatives certification requires proving uninterrupted detection visibility across at least two-thirds of the attack chain. It also requires demonstrating “contextualisation” capabilities that organically link isolated events occurring across different infrastructure.

It must also control indiscriminate alert notifications to no more than three scenarios out of five total false-positive (Signal-to-Noise) scenarios that mistake normal system administration activity for threats.

Genians said its visibility, behavioural correlation analysis capabilities and AI functions drew attention in the test across the full process of the latest APT attack scenario. GeniAn EDR visualises and provides threat types, classifications and similarity scores on an intuitive graphic dashboard based on a machine-learning detection engine.

Min-sang Lee (이민상), executive director of the Genians Security Solution Research Institute, said, “In the era of intelligent autonomous AI hacking, where systems design real-time attack scenarios on their own, we must rebuild defence systems around post-incident detection and rapidly securing visibility based on the realistic premise that endpoints can be breached at any time.” He added, “We will accelerate expansion into the global endpoint security market by using as momentum the global certification of the ‘GeniAn Insights E 3.0’ platform, which fuses EDR, antivirus (AV), anti-ransomware (AR) and media control functions, along with differentiated AI technological capabilities.”
