[DigitalToday reporter Dae-geon Seok] LG Electronics has introduced a new cordless vacuum cleaner that improves space efficiency by reducing the size of its stand. LG Electronics said on Monday it will launch two CompactTower cordless vacuum models, the A7 and A5.
The new products feature a smaller tower. The company cut the volume of the tower, which charges the vacuum body and automatically empties dust, by about 40 percent compared with the existing All-in-One Tower. While the tower is smaller, the dust bin capacity inside remains 2.1 litres.
The flagship model, the A7 Core+ CompactTower, has up to 220W of suction power. Users can handle both dust suction and mopping by switching to a mop nozzle. It has a 450 mL water tank, enabling mopping for more than 30 minutes in standard mode, with water supplied automatically during cleaning. The fine dust blocking system consists of five stages in the main unit and three stages in the tower dust bin.
With the launch, LG Electronics' cordless vacuum lineup has expanded to five models. It consists of the A9 AI, the A7 Core+ (All-in-One Tower and CompactTower) and the A5 (CompactTower and a charging-only stand). The shipment prices are 990,000 won for the A7 Core+ CompactTower and 790,000 won for the A5 CompactTower. With the subscription service, the A7 Core+ CompactTower costs 30,900 won a month on a six-year premium contract, and appliance care services such as dust filter cleaning and filter replacement are provided during the contract period.
Son Chang-woo (손창우), head of LG Electronics' Living Solution Business Division, said, "Based on a deep understanding of residential space and lifestyle, we will deliver a more efficient and convenient customer experience across various cleaning product groups, including corded, cordless and robot."
