Medical AI startup Evom AI said on Thursday it raised seed bridge funding from existing investors including Kkeullim Ventures.
The company said it plans to use the funds to accelerate upgrades and commercialisation of its heart disease-focused AI solution products.
Evom AI received a pass determination in a first review for the digital medical device good manufacturing practice standard, KGMP, in May. The company stressed that the certification secured a verified quality management system, allowing it to steadily expand its cardiac AI portfolio spanning echocardiography, Evom FastEcho, and electrocardiography, Evom ECG.
Evom AI CEO Hyun-seop Nam (남현섭) said, "This funding round and licensing achievements are a milestone showing that Evom AI has moved beyond the research stage and has become a company that can supply products to real medical settings." He said, "The quality and regulatory foundation built through manufacturing notification and the KGMP pass determination will serve as the basis for all products we launch in the future. We will focus on quickly productising electrocardiography following echocardiography, and completing a cardiac AI lineup that medical staff can truly trust and use."
