NCSoft has showcased 'Aion 2' at a major North American game show and has made its global release schedule official for September.
NCSoft said on Friday that its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Aion 2' took part in global game show 'Summer Game Fest (SGF) 2026'.
NCSoft exhibited Aion 2 at SGF 2026 held in Los Angeles on June 5 local time and unveiled a new trailer video. Aion 2 is scheduled to be released in North America, South America, Europe and Asia in September via the global PC platform Steam and NCSoft's own platform Purple.
NCSoft will run local demos for media and content creators at the closed-door event 'SGF Play Days' running from June 6 to 8. It will showcase key elements of the game including flight and aerial combat, a differentiated class system, detailed customization features and open-world player-versus-player (PvP) content.
Ahead of the global launch, NCSoft formed a group of specialists focused on publishing in Western markets. It hired former Amazon Games executive Mervin Lee Kwai as head of global publishing to pursue a large inflow of users and high retention. Chief Financial Officer Won-jun Hong (홍원준) said on a conference call in May, "We aim to be a global flagship MMORPG, not a one-off hit."
Users who subscribe to the newsletter on the global brand website will be given pre-registration rewards. Subscribers can choose and receive 1 of the following for use after the game launches: the pet 'Pagati' and Konuti worker, Papis, Black Smoke Murt, or Silver Blade Rotan.
NCSoft plans to broaden its touchpoints with Aion 2 users worldwide starting with its participation in SGF. Detailed information on the global launch will be disclosed in stages via the global brand website.
