KB Kookmin Bank is introducing a remittance check service to improve financial convenience for veterans benefit recipients living overseas.

KB Kookmin Bank said on June 5 it will launch the "KB Veterans Benefit Remittance Check" service on June 8 with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.

The service supports overseas veterans benefit recipients by allowing them to receive and use foreign-currency-denominated remittance checks directly even without a local bank account.

The bank prepared the service to reduce inconvenience for some beneficiaries who have difficulty opening or using overseas accounts. To ease customers' financial burden, it will fully waive the fee for issuing remittance checks.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We prepared this so that veterans benefit recipients living overseas can receive their benefits more conveniently and stably." The official added, "We will continue to contribute to creating social value by practicing inclusive finance for those who have devoted themselves to the country."
