Hana Bank said on Tuesday it has launched a benefits package with Naver Pay for merchants using the Npay Connect service.

Npay Connect, operated by Naver Pay, is an offline integrated terminal that supports various payment methods customers want, including cash, cards, QR payments and pay services. The terminal can be requested through Hanadeo Soho, a sole proprietor channel within Hana Bank’s mobile app.

Hana Bank will run an event offering subsidies to sole proprietors who install Npay Connect and register a Hana Bank account as their merchant settlement account. Applications can be submitted on the event page of the Hanadeo Soho channel in the mobile app. The bank will pay a 30,000 won subsidy once payment proceeds are deposited into the registered account.

Naver Pay plans to prepare support measures, in cooperation with Hana Bank, to help small business owners with digital transformation and improve store operating efficiency by lowering merchants’ initial cost burden when adopting the Npay Connect terminal.

Hana Bank Executive Vice President Yoo-seok Seo said the event was prepared to support sole proprietor customers in a difficult domestic and external economic environment. He said Hana Bank will continue to expand inclusive finance for small business owners and take the lead in providing benefits that are of practical help to customers.
