iM Bank held a sponsor day with the Samsung Lions to mark the second anniversary of its transition to a commercial bank, aiming to highlight regional coexistence.
iM Bank said on June 1 it successfully wrapped up the "2026 iM Bank x Samsung Lions Sponsor Day" held on May 30 at Daegu Samsung Lions Park.
The event was organised to commemorate the second anniversary of iM Bank’s transition to a commercial bank.
Built around iM Bank’s inclusive finance brand inter-Maum, it also featured invitations for small business owners, participation by disabled artists and customer experience programs.
Kang Jung-hoon (강정훈), CEO of iM Bank, appeared as the ceremonial first-pitch thrower. Kang said there had been support and love from local residents up to the second anniversary of the transition to a commercial bank. He said iM Bank, a regional financial company, and the Samsung Lions, a hometown team, will continue cooperation for regional development and coexistence.
The event included invitations for local small business owners and a donation program linked to Samsung Lions players’ records.
It also featured an event for invited customers. iM Bank invited self-employed owners of good-price stores selected by the Daegu city government, along with individual and corporate top customers and customers who won an event.
It also held participatory events linking online and on-site activities. On iM Bank’s official Instagram, it ran a Samsung Lions cheering comment event and also presented content linked to the team’s social media channels.
At the stadium, iM Bank operated a character photo zone, a game using baseball bats and a booth promoting financial products.
Programs to boost the cheering atmosphere also continued. Upon entry, it distributed "iM Bank x Samsung Lions" collaborative cheering towels to some spectators in the third-base cheering section and the upper SKY cheering section.
Kang said the sponsor day marking the second anniversary of the transition to a commercial bank was planned to expand the public nature of finance. He said the bank will continue to grow with customers and fulfil finance’s social responsibility.
