Mirae Asset Management's global exchange-traded fund (ETF) net assets have topped 400 trillion won. Inflows continued, led by its domestic TIGER ETFs and U.S.-based Global X US, lifting it to 12th globally among ETF managers by size.

Mirae Asset Management said on Sunday its global ETF assets under management totalled about 421 trillion won as of end-May. The figure is the sum of ETFs it runs across 13 markets including South Korea, the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, Hong Kong and Japan.

ETF research firm ETFGI ranks Mirae Asset Management's global ETF net assets as the world's 12th largest among ETF managers.

Mirae Asset Management's global ETF net assets topped 200 trillion won at end-2024 and 300 trillion won at end-2025, before surpassing 400 trillion won at end-May. It reached the 400 trillion won range in 5 months after passing 300 trillion won, showing faster growth.

Its ETF businesses in South Korea and the United States are also growing at the same time. TIGER ETF, its domestic ETF brand, recorded about 160 trillion won in net assets as of end-May. Its U.S. unit Global X US is nearing 100 billion dollars in assets under management.

Global X US assets under management rose to 98.6 billion dollars at end-May from 8 billion dollars when it was acquired in 2018. That is about 12 times growth. Among about 460 ETF managers in the United States, only 13 have surpassed 100 billion dollars in net assets.

Mirae Asset Management is also expanding an ETF tokenisation business combining global ETFs and blockchain. It is expanding tokenisation of flagship ETFs such as COPX, URA and PAVE on global tokenisation platform Ondo Finance, and plans to pursue a token class listing of Hong Kong's first covered-call ETF, "Global X HSCEI Covered Call Active", during the third quarter.

Younghwan Kim (김영환), head of Mirae Asset Management's global management division, said, "The two core platforms, domestic TIGER ETF and U.S. Global X US, have both reached the 100 billion dollar scale." He added, "We will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of our global ETF platform."
