LG Uplus said on Sunday it will launch a bundled plan called "YouTube Premium+Google AI Pro" on June 2, allowing customers to use the most-used video service and a generative AI service under one fee.

The plan is the first in South Korea to link a generative AI subscription product with the benefit of watching YouTube without interruptions from ads. Customers can use YouTube Premium at no additional cost on top of the 29,000 won monthly subscription fee for Google AI Pro. It is about 34 percent cheaper than subscribing separately to Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium.

Customers with an LG Uplus membership tier of VIP or higher can apply a 4,000 won discount coupon through the "VIPkok" benefit, paying 25,000 won a month. Subscriptions are available through LG Uplus' subscription service, Youdoc.

YouTube Premium offers ad-free viewing, background play, offline downloads and YouTube Music, increasing immersion in content. Google AI Pro provides an enhanced AI experience based on the latest "Gemini 3.1 Pro" engine. It also includes Google One 5TB cloud storage that can be shared by up to 6 people, including the account holder and up to 5 family members.

LG Uplus said it will expand digital services that customers can feel immediately, based on cooperation with global partners including Google and YouTube. It plans to strengthen AI-based competitiveness to become a market-leading company.

He added, "We will continue to build the perception that LG Uplus' Youdoc is the best for AI subscriptions with tailored products based on analysis of customer usage patterns."
