Korea Exchange honoured 10 listed firms for achievements in boosting corporate value and discussed the value-up programme’s future tasks.

Korea Exchange held the 'Corporate Value Enhancement Outstanding Company Awards Ceremony and Seminar' at the exchange’s PR hall on May 27. The event was organised to encourage companies that worked to enhance corporate value over the past year and delivered strong results, and to discuss ways to spread a culture of corporate value enhancement.

At the event, 10 companies were honoured for contributing to spreading a culture of corporate value enhancement. About 200 people attended the seminar, including pension funds, asset managers and officials from listed companies, to discuss key results from the corporate value enhancement programme and future tasks.

In opening remarks, Jung Eun-bo (정은보), chairman of Korea Exchange, said the country’s capital markets had set a new milestone thanks to government policy support, improved corporate performance and the spread of a culture of corporate value enhancement.

He added that the exchange would continue to use various policy tools to support listed firms’ efforts to enhance corporate value until the country’s capital markets are recognised as a 'global premium market'.

This year’s corporate value enhancement top performers were selected mainly from among companies that delivered results through faithfully drawing up plans and making active efforts to implement them, out of 131 companies that submitted corporate value enhancement plans in 2025.

Companies that amended their articles of incorporation to establish the introduction of advanced dividend procedures and applied them to actual dividends received extra points in the evaluation.

A total of 10 companies won awards. Kiwoom Securities and Korea Aerospace Industries received the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs award. Coway, TCK and Korea Investment Holdings won the Financial Services Commission chair’s award. ST Pharm, Woori Financial Group, Korea District Heating Corp, Hansol Chemical and LG Innotek received the Korea Exchange chair’s award.

A Korea Exchange official said the exchange plans to continue systematic support so that a culture of respecting shareholder value takes root in the market and domestic capital markets can realise a 'Korea premium'.
