Cloocus, a cloud services company focused on data and artificial intelligence, said on May 27 it has signed a cooperation agreement with AI SOC platform company Panther to provide South Korean companies with an AI-based SOC operations model to advance cloud security operations.
Cloocus stressed the partnership is part of its roadmap to upgrade security centers.
Panther’s main offering is an AI SOC (Security Operations Center) platform that combines data pipelines, a security data lake, a detection engine and agents into an integrated solution.
Designed to respond to the scale and complexity of modern cloud environments, it supports security teams in quickly collecting and analysing large volumes of cloud logs and security events. Using agents, it automates analyst workflows that are central to security operations, such as alert triage, threat investigation and detection improvements. It also goes beyond simply speeding up security alert handling by feeding investigation results and accumulated insights back into the detection framework so SOC operations can improve continuously. This reduces the burden of repetitive alert analysis and investigation, allowing security teams to focus on more advanced threat hunting and response work, Cloocus explained.
Cloocus plans to strengthen services in AI-based SOC upgrades, threat detection and response, and security operations automation based on its global security solution partnerships, including Panther.
Sung-wan Hong (홍성완), chief executive of Cloocus, said that as cloud environments become more complex, the key in security operations lies in going beyond simple threat detection and establishing an AI-based SOC framework in which detection, investigation and response are closely connected. He said Cloocus is building an integrated framework to advance cloud security operations and has selected Panther as one of the key solutions to complete that framework.
John McCarthy (존 매카시), CRO of Panther, said he expects to continue Panther’s growth in the APAC region through cooperation with Cloocus. He said the combination of Cloocus’ cloud and AI expertise with Panther’s AI SOC platform will form a foundation to support the modernisation of security operations for companies in the APAC region.
