Netmarble Cultural Foundation will begin qualifying rounds for a nationwide esports event aimed at improving digital skills among students with disabilities and establishing a healthy leisure culture.

Netmarble Cultural Foundation said on Monday it will start qualifiers for the 2026 National e-Festival for Students with Disabilities from May 27. The event is co-hosted with the National Institute of Special Education and the Korea Creative Content Agency.

The qualifiers will be held offline for about 1 month from May 27 to July 10. About 3,000 people, including students at special schools, instructors and special school administrators nationwide, are expected to compete for places in the main and final rounds. The main and final rounds will be held for 2 days on Sept. 8-9 at Sono Calm Vivaldi Park in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province.

The event will consist of an information competition in 18 categories, including robot coding, and an esports competition in 11 categories. The esports competition includes MaguMagu Remaster, Everybody's Marble and FC Online. This year, FC Online has been promoted to an official category from the existing 10, expanding the total to 11 categories.

Netmarble Cultural Foundation was launched in 2018 to expand the values of healthy gaming culture and foster future creative talent. It carries out social contribution activities centered on three areas: creating culture, nurturing talent and sharing hearts.
