[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Application security firm Sparrow said on May 26 it has signed a series of contracts to supply application security testing solutions in the Middle East, China and Southeast Asia.
Earlier this month, Sparrow supplied its integrated application security testing solution, Sparrow Enterprise, to a major bank in the United Arab Emirates, securing a foothold in the Middle East financial security market.
A global IoT company headquartered in China adopted Sparrow SAST, a source code security vulnerability analysis tool, last month to expand its business in the South Korean market and meet security requirements.
Sparrow is also accelerating its expansion in Southeast Asia. The company secured a public agency under the Malaysian government as a customer early this year.
Jang Il-soo (장일수), Sparrow's chief executive, said, "As Sparrow's global competitiveness is being recognised, global inquiries have recently been increasing, and this is also leading to tangible results such as expanding our customer base, including our first entry into the Middle East financial market." He added, "Using the outcomes we have achieved in each region as a bridgehead, we will continue to strengthen Sparrow's position in the global market."
