Hana Financial Group held a cultural experience volunteer event for vulnerable children in Incheon as part of activities marking Family Month in May.
Hana Financial Group said on May 25 it invited about 40 children from Incheon child centres on May 23 for a cultural experience volunteer event with its employees.
The children first visited Deoksugung Palace in Seoul and toured the palace while listening to explanations from a professional history guide. The guide’s commentary was tailored for children, giving them time to see cultural heritage they had encountered in books and learn about South Korean history.
They later moved to the main auditorium at Hana Financial Group’s Myeongdong headquarters and watched the children’s economic musical "Jack’s Magic Wallet".
A Hana Financial Group official said he hoped the activity would be a valuable opportunity for the children to experience a wider world and dream about the future. He added the group would continue to provide interest and support so children, as future leaders, can grow up healthy and pursue their dreams.
