[DigitalToday reporter Sangyeob Oh] Mirae Asset Securities has been listed in a global sustainability management assessment index for a 14th consecutive year.
Mirae Asset Securities said on Thursday it was included for a 14th straight year in the DJBIC (Dow Jones Best-in-Class) World Index selected by S&P Global.
The DJBIC World Index is the new name for the former Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). It is a global sustainability management index that evaluates environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors among the world's top 2,500 companies by market capitalisation and selects only the top 10 percent in each industry.
Mirae Asset Securities said it was recognised for results in the environmental area that meet global standards, including transparent information disclosure, climate strategy and management of financed emissions. It added that it also received strong evaluations in materiality assessment items such as customer management and information security in the social area, as well as integrated risk management and global business performance.
A Mirae Asset Securities official said, "We will secure new growth engines through proactive investment, global expansion and digital transformation, and do our best to enhance value for customers and shareholders."
