OpenAI said on Wednesday it held a ChatGPT influencer talk show in Mapo district, Seoul, the previous day, inviting self-development lecturer Kim Mi-kyung (김미경), CEO of MKYU, as a speaker.
The event was themed "Kim Mi-kyung's ChatGPT Productivity Class: A Shift in the Way We Work". About 30 influencers in productivity, career and self-development attended, including Critus Lee Kyung-hyun (이경현) (Instagram), Noh Eun-sol (노은솔) (YouTube) and Hamlog (Threads).
Kim introduced her experience using ChatGPT across work tasks such as preparing lectures, developing content and generating ideas, focusing on real cases. A question-and-answer session also covered key examples of using ChatGPT in daily life, what sets ChatGPT apart, ways of working with AI and the next steps participants want to try with ChatGPT.
OpenAI said the event was part of efforts to strengthen direct communication with users as major updates continue, including GPT-5.5 and ChatGPT Image 2.0.
Eum Seong-won (음성원), head of communications at OpenAI Korea, said ChatGPT is an AI work partner that understands users' intentions and context to help them perform real work faster and better. He said OpenAI wanted to show it can be a partner that expands how people work, from organising information and drafting to analysis, fleshing out ideas and supporting repetitive tasks.
