NCSoft has made the Dow Jones Asia Pacific index, a global environmental, social and governance (ESG) benchmark, for a third consecutive year based on its performance in areas including information security and environmental management.

NCSoft said on Thursday it was included for a third straight year in the Asia Pacific index of S&P Global's 2026 Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index (DJBIC). It said it was the only South Korean game company listed in both the Asia Pacific and Korea indexes. It has been included in the Korea index for four consecutive years.

DJBIC is an index published by S&P Global after a comprehensive evaluation of companies' economic performance and sustainability performance. The Asia Pacific index selects the top 20 percent among the region's 600 largest companies by market capitalisation, while the Korea index selects the top 30 percent among South Korea's 200 largest companies.

In this assessment, NCSoft posted results within the top 10 percent in key ESG areas including information security and personal data protection, human resources management, safety and health, and environmental management. It received upgraded evaluations from last year in areas including environmental policies and management programmes, transparent disclosure of human resources information, and corporate ethics policies.

NCSoft has posted clear results in global ESG ratings this year. It received the top AAA rating in the 2026 Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG Ratings, and was selected in two categories, industry and regional leader, in the Sustainalytics 2026 ESG Risk Ratings.

Koo Hyun-beom (구현범), NCSoft's chief operating officer, said, "Following MSCI, the fact that we have achieved consecutive results in major global ESG assessments up to DJBIC shows that the sincerity of NCSoft's ESG management is being recognised." He added, "We will continue our efforts for sustainable growth."
