SK Telecom said on Wednesday it will expand its 'Subscription Calendar' service in its AI service A. app, which automatically manages discount or benefit schedules for brands users are interested in.
Subscription Calendar is a service that automatically adds related schedules to a user's personal calendar and provides notifications when the user selects brands or topics of interest. About 1.6 million people currently use it through notifications such as T Membership's 'T Day' benefits. It is characterised by automatically filling in related schedules and information based on topics of interest.
SKT will work with Hana Securities and CU to expand Subscription Calendar into areas such as finance and retail. Hana Securities will provide regular research, investment information and major financial schedules in a calendar format. CU will inform users of easy-to-miss distribution information such as pre-order sales, discount events, entry events and limited promotions. SKT is also pushing cooperation on A.'s Subscription Calendar with LG Electronics' official online store and Olive Young.
SKT will run a promotion alongside the expansion. Through May 31, it will offer 4 participation missions, including subscribing to schedules, for the CU and Hana Securities Subscription Calendars and plans to provide various prizes. Kim Ji-hoon (김지훈), head of SKT's AI business division, said, "A.'s Subscription Calendar is a service that brings necessary information and benefits into daily life without customers having to go looking for them." He added, "In the future, it will evolve into an AI agent that connects bookings, orders and payments based on subscription schedules."
